My Fake Tan Routine

Hi,

Today I thought I would share my fake tan routine. I am new to trying fake tan, this is only my second time using fake tan. I think it was a success, I was really pleased with the outcome. I only focused on my legs and arms.

First I exfoliated my skin using  Marks and Spencer's Nature Ingredients Body Scrub Unwind Lavender and Chamomile. It was is so lovely and I really like using it. I cannot find the Body Scrub Unwind online, I have found M&S Nature's Ingredients Coconut Body Scrub. I used it with the M&S exfoliating glove.  I did this 24 hours before I used the fake tan, I really like how it makes my skin feel.

The Fake Tan I used is Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Water Light. I think it is quite expensive at £18.95, but I bought it on offer for £9.99 in Boots, a few weeks ago. I have been really impressed, it smells amazing. I love that it is vegan, cruelty free and organic. I love that some of the ingredients are avocado and chia seeds. Make sure you moisture thoroughly and let it dry for about 20 mins.

The first time I used it, I left it to dry for 4 hours and it created a very light natural glow. The second time I used, I left it on overnight and I woke up to a lovely glow, only very slightly darker than leaving it for 4 hours. On the bottle it says to wash off the tan after 4-6 hours (which is what I recommend beginning with), I left it overnight it was about 10 hours, simply because it fitted in my day better. I had no problem, it did not stain my sheets or clothes. I simply let it dry for around 40 mins before I went to bed, the only issue I found was that I was a bit sticky but nothing too problematic. It worked really well and it was very easy to get up and have a shower in the morning. I will definitely be using it again.
