My Bullet Journal Experience

 Hi,

Today I thought I would share my experience with bullet journaling. I started bullet journaling this year in January. I was using it as my one and only planner. I was just planning a week at a time but I found that I struggled with having no place to forward plan.

For my bullet journal I used Archer & Olive A5 signature Dot Grid Notebook Light Pink 192 pages. It was £30.99, quite expensive, honestly I am not sure whether it was worth the money. It is a very beautiful notebook and the pages are very thick and I experienced no bleeding through from any of the ink. However, what I didn't like was the dots do not line up across some of the pages, this makes it very difficult to create your bullet journal spread.

My favourite thing about using a bullet journal was the fact that you are able to create anything you want, each week you can change your layout or design. Sunday afternoon I use to draw out a new weekly layout for the upcoming week, I did very little forward planning. However because we were in lockdown at the beginning of  the year, there was not much forward planning needed. I also liked that I had lots of space to create a running to do list everyday.

I struggled with the amount of time I had to dedicate to set it up, especially at the beginning of the year.  Each month I wanted to incorporate a theme, but this took lots of time deciding what to do and how I wanted to include it. I was surprised at how much time I had to dedicate to this.

I think that for the future, I would like to include a bullet journal in my planning routine, but not as my main planner but as a journal. I think this would work well for me, I will be able to use it as I want and there will be less pressure or time constraint to have it set up. I love journaling and it is really something that helps with my mental health.

What is favourite thing about bullet journaling? What bullet journal do you use?

I hope you enjoy this, any questions please comment below.
